Paul's 1973 BMW 2002

This is my 1973 BMW 2002. I am the 3rd owner of the vehicle. It was originally purchased in West Palm Beach, FL...and lived most of it's life there (Tampa/Orlando) up until a couple of years ago. The second owner (a young guy) bought it had it repainted from Sahara to the Polaris Silver it is now. He also had the suspension work and new wheels put on it. Being short on cash...he didn't put any of the seals on the car after the repaint...and the car had slid into a state of disrepair. When I purchased it in October of 2005. The head gasket was blown, the trans was shot, the interior look like a horse had exploded inside it. So I thought I'd rescue it, and bring her back to all her glory. I had the car towed to George Doughtie. He's an old BMW mechanic...teaches the BMW driving school...and knows BMW's like nobody's business. He rebuilt the motor with high compression pistons, 292 Shrick cam, header, 2.5 exhaust out the back, Korman racing oil pan, IE oil cooler, 320i radiator, and a Weber 38DGES/Manual choke conversion, lightened flywheel. It's now pure evil! I still have some stuff I want to do. I have a Crane I need to put in...George wants the motor to break in a little before we touch that. It already has the tii distributor in it. NICE!
